DHS Adds Three Chinese Biotechnology Entities to the UFLPA Entity List

DHS, as chair of the Forced Labor Enforcement Task Force, added BGI Genomics Co., Ltd., MGI Tech Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen BGI Technology Co., Ltd. to the UFLPA Entity List on October 29, 2026. All three were added under the provision concerning entities working with the Xinjiang government to recruit, transport, transfer, harbor or receive forced labor or members of persecuted groups out of Xinjiang; BGI Genomics and Shenzhen BGI Technology were also added under the sourcing-material provision. Goods produced wholly or in part by listed entities are subject to the UFLPA rebuttable presumption that they are made with forced labor and prohibited from entry into the United States.
