China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued Notices 27 and 28 directing implementation of changes to the UN ISIL (Da’esh) and Al-Qaida sanctions list. The UN committee removed Shafi Sultan Mohammed Sultan Al-Ajmi (QDi.338), Bassam Ahmad Al-Hasri (QDi.399) and Iyad Nazmi Salih Khalil (QDi.400) on October 24; the UN asset freeze, travel ban and arms embargo no longer apply to them. On October 26, the committee separately amended identifying information for Emilie Edwige Konig (QDi.340), Oumar Diaby (QDi.342) and Peter Cherif (QDi.376), whose listings remain in force.
