OFSI Issues New Legal Services General License and Updates Related FAQs

OFSI issued General License INT/2026/11112108 permitting specified legal-fee and expense payments involving designated persons under the UK autonomous sanctions regimes listed in its annex. The license refreshes fee and expense caps, clarifies expense permissions, and requires recipients to report payments within 14 days after each calendar month ends. It takes effect at 00:01 on October 29, 2026 and expires at 23:59 on April 28, 2027; OFSI also added FAQ 206, amended FAQs 64, 71 and 75, and withdrew FAQ 184.
