OFAC has designated two senior executives of the Russian energy company Lukoil under E.O. 14024. While Lukoil itself is subject to certain sectoral sanctions, this action targets individuals at its highest levels for operating in the Russian energy sector and providing support to the Government of the Russian Federation. The designation freezes any assets the individuals may have in U.S. jurisdiction and prohibits U.S. persons from engaging in transactions with them, increasing pressure on the leadership of Russia's key economic sectors.
