OFAC Sanctions Five Individuals and Four Entities Supporting Iran’s Shadow Fleet

OFAC imposed blocking sanctions under E.O. 13902 against five individuals located in Panama and four entities located in Panama, Greece, Singapore and the UAE. The entities are Karnakis and Karnakis, Roxette Maritime Shipping and Trading S.A., Amigoz Singapore Pte. Ltd., and Whales Shipping Line LLC; OFAC also identified nine vessels as blocked property. In a coordinated action, FinCEN reported using an administrative subpoena to investigate an unnamed Greek bank’s potential ties to Iran and its proxies.
