EU Council Adds Russian Metals and Mining Companies to Sanctions List

As part of its 15th package of sanctions, the EU Council has designated three major Russian companies in the metals and mining sector. The move aims to further curtail the Kremlin's revenue from key industries that support its war effort. The sanctions impose an asset freeze on the companies and prohibit EU persons and entities from making funds or economic resources available to them. The package also includes measures to prevent the circumvention of existing sanctions through third countries.
