The EU Council imposed asset freezing sanctions against 77 individuals for their involvement in the September 2026 Russian State Duma elections in temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories. The listings cover 74 candidates who stood in occupied Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Crimea, and Sevastopol, and three members of Russia’s Central Election Commission. The individuals are also subject to travel bans.
