OFAC has issued Iran General License N, expanding upon existing authorizations to support the Iranian people. The new GL authorizes additional activities related to agricultural commodities, medicine, medical devices, and services supporting internet freedom and communication. This action aims to ensure that U.S. sanctions do not unduly hinder the ability of non-governmental organizations and individuals to provide humanitarian assistance and support basic human needs in Iran, while still maintaining pressure on the Iranian regime for its malign activities.
