Two Bulgarian nationals were sentenced in a U.S. federal court to 7 and 9 years in prison, respectively, for conspiring to export sensitive U.S.-origin technology to designated entities in Russia. The defendants operated a network of front companies in Bulgaria and other countries to illegally procure and transship dual-use goods, including advanced avionics and navigation systems. The DOJ's National Security Division highlighted the case as a successful disruption of a critical procurement network supporting Russia's military capabilities.
