FinCEN Renews Generic Clearance for Service Delivery Feedback Surveys

FinCEN published a notice requesting comment on the renewal, without change, of its generic clearance for collecting qualitative feedback on agency service delivery under the Paperwork Reduction Act, covering low-burden, voluntary surveys of business/non-profit institutions and certain federal, state, and local law enforcement and regulatory agencies on timeliness, accuracy, courtesy, and issue resolution, with results not intended for public dissemination or to inform policy decisions. FinCEN anticipates soliciting approximately 39,534 respondents annually with an estimated 5,217 responses, translating to roughly 1,496 hours of annual reporting burden (4,489 hours over the three-year clearance period); this is a routine renewal with no substantive change from the currently approved collection, and comments are due by September 28, 2026 via regulations.gov (docket FINCEN-2026-0199) or mail to FinCEN's Regulatory and Strategic Affairs Division.
